Strathclyde International Part-time MBA with a Specialism in Shipping
Collaboration with the Dept. of Naval Architecture ā€“ Ocean and Marine Engineering ā€“ NAOME

In 2020 the collaboration between the Business School and the Department of Naval Architecture, Ocean & Marine Engineering (NAOME) of the University of Strathclyde was decided to take place in order to offer the prestigious Executive MBA in Shipping. The Department of NAOME spans more than 100 years of existence by which time they have become a key provider of Marine Technology expertise throughout the UK and worldwide. NAOME has built upon Glasgow’s rich heritage of naval architecture and shipbuilding, providing first class graduates and research for the maritime, oil & gas and offshore renewables industries across the world. NAOME research outcomes supports industry and society in useful and innovative ways. Over the years NAOME has made a major contribution on the safety of ships around the world while also performing high quality research on a wide range of topics; from reducing carbon emissions and optimizing ship operations to developing new types of floating wind turbines and new tools for modeling fluid loads on floating structures.


As a result of the above, NAOME has been rated as number one in the UK and number four in the world for Marine/Ocean Engineering in the prestigious Shanghai rankings 2021.In this respect, NAOME offers a range of Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses associated to the above.


A collaboration between these two renowned Departments offers a true competitive advantage to any executive wishing to pursue this particular programme.


The Strathclyde International Part-time MBA in Shipping is a 180 credit, two-year duration, part-time, taught General MBA programme with a specialism in Shipping. With the exception of the mode of study, the International part-time MBA in Greece is in all respects, identical to that offered on a full-time basis in the United Kingdom; the entry criteria, programme content and assessment, books and core learning materials are the same, and it is taught by the same Strathclyde academics who teach in Glasgow.
