BEAT MARINE LITTER: NORWEGIAN EMBASSY & HELMEPA JOINT EVENT

On the occasion of World Environment Day 2018, the Norwegian Embassy in Athens and the Hellenic Marine Environment Protection Association, HELMEPA, are pleased to invite you to the Breakfast Seminar “Beat Marine Litter”. The meeting will be held at Divani Apollon Palace and Thalasso in Vouliagmeni, on Tuesday 5 June from 10.00 – 11.30 am.

Join us in highlighting the commitment of Norwegian and Greek businesses, organizations and official actors in fighting marine pollution, and to learn more about how to get involved!

The seminar will feature a panel of speakers that all have launched key initiatives to contribute to the local, national and global effort. The Seminar will be opened by Special Advisor to the UN Global Compact Action Platform for Sustainable Ocean Business, Mr. Sturla Henriksen. Mr. Henriksen took up his appointment with the UNGC in January this year, after a decade serving as the CEO of the Norwegian Shipowner’s Association. This new platform will draw the links between how business and industry can work together with national and global initiatives to ensure developments stay on the right track. The full list of speakers will be announced shortly.
