The Seafarers’ Charity is proud to announce its participation at Posidonia 2026 as an official charity partner, the first time we have been selected in this prestigious capacity.
Participation at Posidonia marks an important milestone in The Seafarers’ Charity’s international engagement strategy. It underpins the growing recognition across the maritime sector that seafarer welfare is fundamental to the sustainability and resilience of global shipping.
Taking place from 1–5 June in Athens, Greece, Posidonia is one of the world’s leading maritime exhibitions, bringing together thousands of industry professionals, organisations and decision-makers from across the global shipping community.
Throughout the week, the charity will be actively engaging with partners and stakeholders. Business Development Director Temi Binitie will be on the ground, meeting with industry leaders, strengthening relationships and highlighting our work supporting seafarers and their families worldwide.
We will take part in the popular Posidonia Games, including the Posidonia Running Event, a key feature of the exhibition that attracts thousands of maritime professionals. These activities offer an excellent opportunity to raise both vital funds and wider awareness for seafarer welfare.
We invited WOMEN TOGETHER, a group which empowers women to elevate their careers and mindful wellbeing, to join us on the streets of Piraeus to champion diversity and to support those who work at sea. Every mile we run helps improve the lives of seafarers and amplifies the voices of women in maritime.
Temi said: “Posidonia is a cornerstone event in the global shipping calendar, and we are excited to connect with partners, raise awareness of the challenges facing seafarers today, and work together to drive meaningful change.”
The Seafarers’ Charity looks forward to a productive presence at Posidonia 2026, and to working closely with partners old and new to ensure seafarers around the world thrive.
