Kairos inboard motors are fully modular, high-power units that seamlessly replace conventional motors. With higher torque, smaller footprint, lower RPM and almost silent running, Kairos motors are designed specifically for use by workboats and commercial operators.
Incorporating patented innovations and simple installation, the machines are 90% recyclable and 100% zero emission.
Paired with three different kinds of Lithium-Ion batteries the Kairos range can be purchased as individual machines or as a complete “throttle to prop” package.
Fitting the Kairos is simplified thanks to Ecomar Propulsion’s partnership with VULKAN. Combining the massive range of VULKAN couplings, drive shafts and industrial engineering expertise with Ecomar Propulsion’s innovative solutions delivers reliable, robust and fit for purpose machines and drives you can trust.
All Kairos motors come with their own proprietary fly by wire control system and engineered throttles. The throttles are made from ruggedised aluminium which have been designed for use in the most extreme environments.
Retrofit becomes easier with the Kairos range optional mounting plates that can be specified to fit across wider spaced ribs to suit the individual vessel dimensions. The widening plates can be made to order for retrofit projects, using existing engine beds.
For new builds, the slim profile easily fits into tight spaces which reduces engine room size and installation complexity.
Operating at around 800v, the Kairos range of motors starts with the smallest 40kW inline drive and increases in power up to a maximum power 1MW drive.
POWER OPTIONS : 40kw – 80kW – 100Kw – 120KW – 200kW – 350kW – 500kW – 700kW – 1MW
The Kairos range offer high torque operations and for motors over 500kW they can be ordered with the patented integral gearbox with a choice of step-down ratio’s to suit the vessel.
Kairos has been created to make the transition to clean marine a simple, pain-free experience.
With full integration and multiple battery options, complete with GARMIN & NMEA displays, the range delivers a “ready to go” package suited to almost any situation.
The modular design radically reduces the cost of shipping spares and on-site repair. All components can be box shipped within 24 hours.
With the use of a series of standard components, complexity in fleet management is reduced to a minimum. Kairos motors keep workboats operating with minimum fuss or down time. For customers with multiple vessels or who operate in remote locations, the modular design and component standardisation means that maintenance no longer requires holding large stocks of parts.
Kairos - multiple power options and futureproof value.
EEXI audit made easy
Ecomar Propulsion offer a 100% replacement, no quibble guarantee for 2 years on all moving mechanical and electrical parts. Kairos machines also come with a full environmental assessment that even tells you what materials each component is made from and how to recycle them at the end of life. With 100% zero emissions EEXI and carbon reduction calculations take seconds rather than weeks, saving time and money.
The emphasis on endurance rather than speed means that Kairos motors are able to deliver performance where it matters most in commercial operations.
Kairos motors have been matched with a range of lithium-ion batteries, beginning with a “flat pack” design for small craft starting at 62kWh with no limit to the size of battery that can be provided. All batteries are class certified and are calibrated to provide maximum efficiency.
THE KAIROS range is designed to speed your profits as well as your boat.
