The Hellenic Navy Hydrographic Service (HNHS) is the official hydrographic organization of Greece. It is a government agency that has exclusive competence and certification to draw up, publish, supplement and correct the official navigational charts of Greece and their updates, as well as to publish, supplement and correct official nautical publications.

HNHS publishes in printed and/or electronic format, navigational aids and instructions, notices, messages and announcements, wave forecasts and oceanographic information, contributing to the promotion and development of shipping and navigation safety.

HNHS is the National Coordinator for the management and operation of NAVTEX Service, in accordance with national and international law and practice.

The Hellenic Ports Association is a civil, non-profit company with 26 members: First, the 13 Greek Port Authorities, 10 currently under state control and 3 with a private investor majority. Second, 13 of the most prominent port funds.

The Company aims to address the main challenges faced by the international port industry, namely digital transformation, green transition with the use of environmentally friendly practices and the use of renewable energy sources, major port infrastructure construction, expansion and improvement.

The Hellenic Ports Association regularly contributes to the formulation of policy proposals, legislative initiatives and fosters action to further promote port management and industry best practices, underlining the essential role of Greek ports in the national economy and the Country's leading international position in Shipping.

The Hellenic Marine Environment Protection Association (HELMEPA), founded in 1982 by visionary Greek shipowners and seafarers, with the mission to “save the seas” is one of the most impactful environmental organizations, leading the way in the protection of the marine environment, safety at sea, and sustainable development. 

Over the years, the HELMEPA movement has grown exponentially, with 300,000+ volunteers. Today, HELMEPA has evolved into an open, multi-level, participatory platform of 349 companies and organizations, 2,362 ocean-going vessels, and 14,200 seafarers, with an extensive network of stakeholders. Its international impact inspired the establishment of similar organizations (MEPAs) in Cyprus, Nigeria, Philippines, Turkey, Ukraine, the United States of America, and Uruguay, cooperating as members of the International Maritime Environmental Protection Association (INTERMEPA)
