Overview:
 
Inclusion of the maritime sector in the EU ETS will increase shipowners’ obligations to acquire and surrender EU allowances (EUAs) over the coming years as part of the scheme’s phased approach. 
 
As an active participant in the EU ETS for more than a decade, helping a wide range of clients hedge their EUA exposures, we’re keen to share our knowledge and insights with this community. 
 
Our seminar will provide an overview of the EU ETS: how it works and applies to shipowners, fundamentals of the market (price, supply, demand drivers) and how to trade EUAs and finance this obligation with Macquarie’s support. This will be followed by an informal afternoon tea and networking session where we look forward to meeting you and answering any questions you may have.
