Polish Pavillion for the very first time in Posidonia International Shipping Exhibition – marking 100th anniversary of the independence of Poland

On this occasion,  join the Polish Embassy of the Republic of Poland and Polish participants for the seminar: “POLAND – Thinking out of the box about maritime industry” on Tuesday, June 5th between 10.30 and 12.30 during the Posidonia 2018 International Shipping Exhibition at the Metropolitan Expo Center (Seminar Room 2A).

The year 2018 marks the Centenary of Regaining Independence of Poland and also delivers an exceptional opportunity to reflect upon the potential of the Polish shipbuilding industry, which can be proved by almost 100 years of tradition. Polish shipyards played a key role in the history of the modern Poland, especially during the “Solidarity” movement, which undoubtedly changed the course of the history of Europe.

Today, the Polish shipyards and the comprehensive maritime cluster combine tradition, credibility, quality, creativity and innovation.  Poland’s shipbuilding and ship-repair industry is one of the most important components of Polish maritime economy and maritime policy. Creating a friendly legislative environment for the further development of Polish shipyards is of the highest priority of the Polish government.

The growing experience and the highly qualified and skilled professionals guarantee the finest class Polish products and competitive price on the European market while even the most sophisticated engineering tasks and technically advanced projects and solutions are proposed.

The participants of the seminar can learn more about the know-how, advanced technologies and smart sand financing introduced by the Polish shipping industry.

Among the key issues to be addressed during the seminar:

  • Poland as a hub for the rising green shipping
  • Rising potential of Polish Maritime Industry on Shipping Map
  • Key role of Port of Gdańsk in Pan-European transport corridors
